Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on the 12th of November, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and is the only person to be recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became her coach in later years, discovered her at age six. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. Three gold medals were awarded in her debut competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by the communist bloc nations. Between 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. At her first competition as a senior in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She was the first female ever to perform reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey into the realm of entertainment started as a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's first job was in entertainment as a teenager. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. These shows were ice skating events which included stage performances.
